Preliminary fights of the second Sambo day in St. Petersburg are completed


At 18.00 in the sport hall “Arena” fights for the prize of the World Martial Arts Games will start. For the bronze medal Allan Hinds Dwayane of Trinidad and Tobago and the Georgian athlete Kakha Mamulashvili will fight in the weight category up to 74 kg. Also in the fight for third place Frenchman Jean-Louis Reina and Argentine Federico Alejandro Clara will perform. But in the finals there will be Russian Ali Kurzhev and ukrainian Dmitry Babijchuk.
Among women, the battle for the top places in the weight category up to 56 kg is as follows: the first match for the bronze – Nadezhda Zaitseva, the Russian SAMBO, and Anna Righetti from Italy, the second duel – Olesya Sovchuk (Ukraine) and Daniela Hondiu (Romania). In the battle for gold at the mat Kalina Stefanova, an athlete from Bulgaria and Frenchwoman Laura Fournier will converge.
In the most prestigious weight category +100 kg men Heikki Happo-Aho (Finland) and Ivan Stoykov (Bulgaria) will fight for the bronze-seize, and Ukrainian Razmik Tonoyan meet in the battle for third place with Belarusian Alexander Vahavyakom.
